I was told today we were not getting real tickets delivered by UPS. I am disappointed, when I hear the UPS truck come it is just like Santa on the roof top.
Anybody know how to download the tickets? I am gifting two for a birthday surprise.

You should get them in an email and then download them in wallet on your phone. You can probably get a teenager to show you how.

You can download your season tickets from the My Tickets section of the MAF site. Note it says they won't be loaded until 48 hours before the event.

So if somehow this goes to crap we have 48 hours to fix it. Hope this comes with some kind of tutorial about how to use, transfer, wallet etc. I dont even take my phone into the game since connection is abysmal.

Are the parking passes also paperless as well?

It’s a good idea but it’s going to be a cluster. I imagine you can screenshot the tik and print that as a backup

I believe someone said on a different thread that parking passes are to be mailed but I haven't checked

I asked on Monday and was told that the passes should be mailed this week. But we have all heard that before.

On August 8th, I emailed the ticket office asking "when will I be able to transfer tickets to other people?" I received this reply:
All season tickets will be emailed out of here in the next few weeks. Once those are emailed you have the opportunity to tranfer tickets. Go App! Susie

That sounds way different than 48 hours before the event. Things never change.

I spoke with someone in the YC and parking passes are going out this week.

This should work like NFL/NBA tickets. You can download the entire season, 48 hours makes it difficult to transfer.
Why make this change before a P5 home opener, this wasn't thought through. Our fanbase may not be ideal for this being the first large scale attempt to implement...

Funny. Their site says "Check back 48 hours before the event to download your ticket. There's no mobile pass available for this ticket. Please check your confirmation email for more info." for all of this years tickets. I wouldn't be surprised if both the site and the ticket office were incorrect.

They tested it last year with students and with basketball and baseball. I know, those are different crowds in terms of size. But they’ve had a year to work the bugs out.

It'll be a nightmare and with knowing that, I'm looking forward to waking up at 4:30am, getting to my lot as soon as they'll let me in, and getting to the gate as early as they open. No amount of technical problems will keep me from enjoying what will be the biggest opening day in my App State fandom.

Yeah that's been referenced before. This wasn't a real test IMO, students vs. donors that are 50+ is WAY different. A real test would have been a cross section of the fanbase, which wasn't done. User error is HUGE variable in this equation.

Wouldn't this be something if the site went down less than 2 days before kickoff . Leaves no room for error at all

Maybe, but wouldn’t count on it. Been to concerts recently that wouldn’t accept the ticket as a screenshot. Only in the wallet.
