Cronic did not want to be a HC again so soon. But he also didn’t expect this opportunity. So while there is interest I think he is happy where he’s at.

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
Of the five folks that we intially spoke with, none of them, including Brown were guys that generated excitement. I feel better about Brown than the other four. There were red flags for all of them but Brown is the safest guy for me. He is the “been there, done that, got the t-shirt” guy which crea...

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
Looks like Neal already turned down UNCC and he is the "central figure" in our search. Sounds like everyone is turning down UNCC from what I have heard. I would be surprised if we already have our guy. DG was still calling coaches last night checking their interest levels in order to set up intervi...

The name I heard has no connections to App. Would definitely raise some eyebrows. Currently an OC. Was asked not to say more.

We're really ramming Cox down their throats.

Re: Sunday Morning (Afternoon) QB ---
Rugby style kicks… this was not done due to having a deficiency at punter. The other reason for doing this is when you want to make sure the opposing returner doesn't get any clean returns. I will say that we probably went that route because they were scared of USA's return game.

No team has won four in a row in the history of the series. Unfortunately ASU won't be able to break that trend.

I actually liked Matthews on color. Plus he looks and sounds just like Buddy Garrity from Friday Night Lights.

I think you can put those games into 3 categories: Poopy: Campbell & Liberty Not Much of An Upgrade: GA State & Idaho Legit Games: S. Alabama & UL-M UL-M is a good middle of the Sun Belt pack type team. S.Ala is my sleeper pick in the Sun Belt. I get your point… underwhelming compared to the potenti...

Re: 2013 FCS Playoffs
Why would we not care? This is the conference we competed in THIS YEAR. This arrogance is so ridiculous. We finished 4-8 and lost to both teams that are going to the playoffs. App fans don't need to follow the playoffs at all, but if you are a football fan, you should definitely root for Furman and...

Re: Maybe This Will Humble Our Fans A Little
All summer long and basically since we declared we are moving to FBS, I have monitored this board. So many were happy to see Moore go. So many just knew we were going to roll through this season. Everyone has been so dismissive of FCS in general, with threads dedicated to "what FCS team will we roo...

I'm not in the "too early to tell" camp. I have seen all I need to form my opinion. JJ does not seem to thrive in the face of adversity. A bird doesn't change its feathers friends.

Re: Recruiting, 2013
To address a few earlier posts in my opinion there are several different kinds of recruits/recruiting. In a perfect world it should be about what the school can do for the kid, academically and athletically. Regardless of any other points, relationships are very important. NOTHING good happens in a...

Re: Recruiting, 2013
Take the time to speak with some coaches who recruit against us. They will tell you that they think App has actually been underachieving on the recruiting trail. That is the fault of the coaches. The belief amongst smaller lesser renown FCS schools in the area is that if App wants a kid, then they ...
