Re: TIGMA NIL
What does this mean for the other collective? Does it still exist? Are there competing collectives now? Both exist…serving different approaches and donor types. Gotcha. That seems... inefficient? But I don't have any money to give anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me. Whatever discretionary fu...

Re: TIGMA NIL
I know this is more of a terrible coincidence than anything, but after the most painful basketball loss in a generation, the next App State Athletics thing I see is "open up those wallets App fans!" Open the wallet or open the cheeks. Welcome to modern college athletics. https://media4.giphy.com/me...

Re: 1-AA 2.0
Our fan base doesn’t support the Yosef Club . We are fortunate to perform at the level we do. My opinion. Yup. I figure most of the NIL money we get will be from businesses looking to do actual advertisements to drum up business instead of individuals looking to donate to general NIL funds. A numbe...

I'll keep saying it. Win the conference tournament, that is all that matters. NET only matters for P4 conferences who are given legit shots for at large bids.

Free throws and rebounds......basically even in every other regard. 69% FT. Such a broken record point to end such an amazing season. This one hurts. Pretty deflated. Gregory is a senior. Coach has shown us the way to build the stairs, now we've got to find what it takes to climb the final steps. Ne...

Re: NIL college tourney. Winners split 1 mil.
At least in the NFL there is a cap, structure and public knowledge of where the money goes. How much is not enough in college? Does an 18-23 year old playing college football really need 6 figures? How much effort are these guys putting into the academic side? A majority of these young people have ...

NIL college tourney. Winners split 1 mil.
So now we will get money ties to winning games. I'm sure this will eliminate any and all cheating keeping intact college integrity.

Re: Conference Tourney
First of all ESPN can shove it. All 4 picked JMU. Not the team that best them twice and won the regular season. Not the team with huge momentum. Whatever. Lunardi can eat a bag of dukes. March 9th 11:30am on espn +, it begins. Survive and advance. Take the stairs. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-...

Re: 1-AA 2.0
Notre Dame has their own category and gets in the playoffs if they are deemed good enough without any conference. It won't be much longer before the true big boys start making their own TV deals etc. like ND. These conference heads think they are the big dogs but really they are road blocks for the ...

All teams who would have made the playoffs since 2014 if the 12 team model had existed.

Re: NCAA loses ability to control NIL in court
I really believe that interest in college sports will fall off and then ESPN will panic and try to fix the whole mess. By then it may be too late. It really is odd that the people making all the money off college sports don’t view this as an issue. NIL could work but a flat out uncontrolled free fo...

Re: 5+7 model close to passing. G5 would still get screwed
One option could be the ones that feel they are the top 40 money makers form a 20 team east and west conferences make a semi pro or minor league system. Then the rest of us could get back to college sports except athletes sign scholarship contracts that pay them tuition plus some extra and have a sa...

Lol, the ncaa just needs to pack it up. Take their ball and go home. Love it or not the ncaa governing abilities are almost gone. https://tennessee.rivals.com/news/court-rules-in-favor-of-tennessee-striking-blow-to-ncaa-s-nil-enforcement "With the decision, recruits and transfer players can now nego...

Re: 5+7 model close to passing. G5 would still get screwed
I think we need to play more ECUs and Cincinnatis of the world. Throw in some UCFs and low hanging ACC fruit like Wake. While I love the big games, the name of the game has now been changed. We have to try to adapt to it.

Re: NCAA Video Game
Think about all these football players...the vast majority won't go pro, but they'll always be able to show/tell their kids, grandkids and everyone else that they were a playable character in a video game. And that is very cool. This^^^ Sometimes it's about the novelty of something. I'm sure we've ...

Re: 5+7 model close to passing. G5 would still get screwed
What I take out of that articles playoff prediction was that there was only 1 G5 team. That's it. We have to run the table and not trip up at all for one spot. This model keeps the money exactly where they wanted it.

Re: 5+7 model close to passing. G5 would still get screwed
So they are discussing the idea of the major conferences having multiple auto qualifiers. 4 sec, 4 big 10. So realistically 3 sec, 3 big 10, 2 acc, 2 big 12, 1 g5 Aq, then 3 at large that would probably go to p4 teams. When they start bringing in non champion AQs from the p4 they aren't even hiding ...
