I am inclined to think the SBC, AAC, and CUSA need to be reorganized into 4 smaller (10-12 member) regional conferences.
We don’t need to be with any CUSA teams not named WKU.
Even WKU is borderline though.

Re: Two more?

We could very easily see a PAC 12 scenario where only a handful of ACC teams at the bottom are left.

Re: UNC Holes ideas for finding money for players

My info comes from someone in the room. It’s what they have decided they want. Can they pull it off ? I don’t know. They seem to think so. Why care ? It could ultimately affect us. The trickle down could be massive. We better be prepared for whatever may come. It's not hard to see why Gillin is mak...

with Clemson.
Had a Clemson contact last year saying they'd be SEC within four years. This wasn't some random fan either. It's starting to look like he knew what he was talking about.

DL is a solid interview, he's going to do just fine behind the podium. He's a 9 with all the off-the-field stuff thus far, itching to see him scheme for teams and how he operates in-game scenarios.

If I had to guess we'll start faster.
It'd be hard to start any slower...

Well , JT , how do you really feel?😳 We really are much more tied to the remainder of the East. When the inevitable split happens, I see them choosing to head West.
I thought I was being nice! lol

We aren’t married to Southern or G State.
Nor should we be. Ga. State is pretty bad at most sports with zero fan support, and Southern is nothing but classless rednecks.

Re: Dowell Loggains SI Article

One aspect of the “pay the poor abused players” argument that kills me is that blanket assumption that schools have made “billions” off of these indentured servants. Zero of them has ever been forced to play a sport and I seriously doubt that outside of maybe 40 schools the rest have either operate...

Re: You can buy the basketball court for $15K+

It's illegal (at least in NC) for a public entity to privately sell any sort of FF &E purchased with government funding. It has to go to a government approved salvage company such as this.

Re: Sun Belt presidents to vote Monday on Louisiana Tech

Virtually no one thought bringing in App. St. and Georgia Southern was the end of the SBC. As I recall, they thought it was helping to save or enhance the SBC. Not sure where this fictional history is coming from. There were a good number of fans at mainly Louisiana and Arkansas State that were ver...

Re: Texas State "heavy favorite" to join Pac-12, LaTech favored to join Sun Belt

I agree, I think western members viewed this as somewhat existential if they didn't fill the spot quickly. The longer the spot remained open the more likely it would be filled with a member that could be part of the eastern block splitting away longer term or lead to backroom meetings of that natur...

Re: Sun Belt presidents to vote Monday on Louisiana Tech

Idaho has more 9 win season while in the Sun Belt than Texas State. In fact, Texas State needs to win 9 games this fall, more than they've ever won in a single Sun Belt season, to leave with a better winning percentage than Idaho. Texas State has won a couple basketball regular season titles, baseb...

Yes, it connects all the way to 105 now. That was something Peacock wanted years ago. That should help with football and baseball traffic.

Her profile says she’s a “Breatheology breath instructor” so that must be worth something…like a degree people get in world musicology or anti-extremism puppet theatre. She probably thinks we should all pick up the tab of her student loans she took out to get that super valuable degree. FWIW,...

I just don't think Texas State was all that valuable either. I think it's basically a wash except we lost an outlier.

Re: Texas State "heavy favorite" to join Pac-12, LaTech favored to join Sun Belt

The AAC would make sense if their current membership stayed in place and they wanted to expand to say 18 with us and two other SBC schools, or if they decide to add a large chunk of SBC schools following an exit by Memphis, Tulane, and USF. I think we want to join if those schools leave and they onl...

They have some nice, new facilities thanks to government funds to rebuild after a hurricane a few yea...
