We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Ceremony
How about renaming the school--- Jerry Moore University and every road, Jerry Moore Rd., Jerry Moore Ave., Jerry Moore Blvd. and while we're at it just rename Boone to Moore ,NC. That ought to give him the recognition he deserves , Right?? Just had to get in your little dig, didn't you? It was a pe...

Re: Sun Belt Struggles
It's not outside the realm of the possible that the SBC might go winless today. At this moment, only Troy not losing (tied the last I looked). Unfortunately, this year the SBC might be living up to its perception. The last sentence astounds me. A loss in the final seconds to a BCS school, a 2 yr pr...

Jettison Idaho, add JMU and Liberty (oh the horrors!) for all sports along with two non football schools like UNCW and Winthrop. Two divisions ease the cost of travel for non revenue sports. East App State Georgia Southern Georgia State JMU Liberty Troy Non Football: Winthrop, UNCW West Arkansas Sta...

Re: Turf
The Field Turf we have was top of the line when it was installed. One reason for the dirty looking white in the A and the gold is due to Coach Moore requesting additional sand and rubber put down to make it a faster surface. The blades of grass aren't nearly as tall as others I've walked on. The lig...

Re: New App State store on King Street
In many cases it is impossible to buy local since most of those businesses were forced to close by the big box stores. Some downplay the impact of these giant stores on local economies but I've seen it first hand. My home town is a shadow of what it once was. I also made my living selling to small b...

Re: New App State store on King Street
I will not buy from this store. Unlike Sports Fanattic, Mountaineer Mania and App T's - who are grads, long time supporters of ASU or residents of Boone - the owner lives out of state and has no ties to the area. His profits will not benefit the Boone community or ASU. He has several other stores in...

Re: App Mich on the ESPN front page
Question-outside of this board is this reallly a problem? I would bet you most fans of App football are not even aware of the Corey comments and Moore is a distant memory. Agreed, as are Cobb and Peacock. Heck, I wouldn't have known about Lynch's comments nor cared very much if I hadn't read it on ...

Cobb & Peacock could serve time for falsifying this type of information. Anyone thinking this stuff was fabricated is nuts.Saint3333 wrote:Amazing an email under the FOIA isn't enough proof for people.

Re: App Mich on the ESPN front page
Annoying, all you did is provide an already released email from Cobb to Peacock in which Cobb seems to put words in Jerry Moore's mouth. I asked for a shred of physical evidence (email, scanned memo) in which Jerry says or writes "Yeah Ken, yeah Charlie, this is going to be my last season, yada, ya...

Re: App Mich on the ESPN front page
This is just very, very sad. I agree. It is extremely sad Cory used the occasion of the greatest moment in ASU athletic history to reopen wounds and further divide the Appalachian fan base. While the issue has for the most part been out of the public spotlight it has not gone away in Boone. There a...

Re: App Mich on the ESPN front page
Coach Moore was not fired. To refresh everyone's memory he is one of the emails released to the media under the Freedom of Information Act. I left out a few paragraphs about possible transition coaches and salaries that have nothing to do with the actual issue before us. Somehow this doesn't read li...

Re: App Mich on the ESPN front page
App accepts an invite to the SB. Jerry Moore makes it CLEAR he opposed the move and wants NOTHING to do with moving to FBS. EVERYBODY knows Satterfield was brought in as the COACH IN WAITING. Jerry Moore was told App HAD TO START PREPARING the program for FBS and his contract WOULD NOT BE RENEWED fo...

Re: Start Lamb
Taylor looked poised, focused and accurate. It was a very impressive showing for his first ever collegiate PT, especially considering the environment. He was also under no pressure to win the game. That was decided long before he stepped on the field. He didn't see the first team guys and he didn't ...

Re: App Mich on the ESPN front page
Very disappointed in Corey. He obviously had a special relationship with Coach Moore, but unless he was in the room he doesn't know any more what the truth is than anyone else does. What bothers me the most is his comment was said as a statement of fact, not as an opinion. He will believe anything C...

Re: Thoughts on Athletic Department
I just felt I needed to say this and no one has spurred me to do this - recently there was a discussion on MMB concerning Coach Moore, Charlie Cobb, Scott Satterfield and some others - Personally, I know none of these people - However, I do know David Jackson and to me he is the one athletic admini...

Re: Timeline for getting AD candidates
I'd be OK with any candidate from a P5 conference school that has extensive fundraising and alumni relations experience. Prefer that candidate to come from one of those schools that has a transparent track record of fundraising success. Sherri should definitely hire an outside consultant firm as we...

I get what you mean but it seems the majority of rabble rousers on the ASU campus come from the liberal arts side of things. At least she is coming in as one of their own and not some interloper with a business background who doesn't appreciate the real reason for attending college. When the facult...

Re: The ASU coaching search and potential candidates to disc
based off the rumor mill (which we know is always right) here is where we are right now: App State has no interest in Matt McMahon and if offered the job he would probably turn it down. Bobby Lutz, the former coach of UNCC and current assistant at NC State, is our top candidate. MIke Rhoades, curre...
